K. Jayaramakrishnan, popularly known as JRK, has 40+ years experience in the IT Industry, starting from roles commencing from ground level execution and transforming into senior leadership and board level responsibilities spanning sales, marketing and partnerships across Global markets.
He has been widely recognized for operational excellence and innovative business approaches towards managing the ever changing dynamics of the international market.
JRK superannuated from TCS as Vice President, Head – Global Alliances, managing the global partner community including IBM, HP, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft etc.,
Post his TCS career, JRK has been active in mentoring start-ups in the Deep Technology space ranging from Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation and Virtual Reality (VR/XR). He currently serves in the Board of Roots Innovation Labs (GI Bots).
He also serves as the Strategic Advisor to NTC Logistics and is a Board Member of the Rajalakshmi Group of Institutions.
JRK is part of the Proposal Approval Committee of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a Government of India initiative. JRK also served as the Chairman – Convener for the CII Task Force on Industry – Institute – Interaction from 2004 to 2009. He was the Chairman of Computer Society of India, Chennai Chapter – 2008.
JRK was the member of the IT Task Force of the Government of Gujarat and e- Governance Standards Committee of Government of Tamil Nadu. He was also the convener for the ICT Academy of Tamilnadu (A Consortium of Govt. of India, Govt. of Tamil Nadu & CII).
JRK is an alumni of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. In his spare time, JRK enjoys playing golf and listening to classical music.
R Rangarajan [Ranga] is a Former CEO, HCL Healthcare; has over 22 years of rich and varied experience across industries (Healthcare, IT and Education) and geographies. He is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Lucknow. Additionally, he has certifications on Disruptive Strategy and Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School [HBX Online]. He started his career in in 1996 in Sales and grew from a Marketing Executive to Account Manager before leading Pre-Sales upon his return to India in 2010. Having program managed a large transformational initiative, Ranga became ardently interested in change & transformation. His keen interest areas include understanding triggers to make companies and individuals successful. Realizing the importance of the last mile execution, he rolled up his sleeves to become the Chief Delivery Officer of HCL Services and led a team of over 10,000 resources. With P&L responsibilities and attention to execution detail, he took on a challenging role to turn around the HCL Healthcare business as its CEO. HCL Healthcare is the youngest company within the $10 bn + HCL group. What he achieved in 3 years is a commendable story of exponential growth with a focus on a balanced score card approach. The success mantra to transform business was to encourage positive conversations, reach full potential by establishing a culture of demanding from each other and ensure ruthless execution of plans. He has worked at renowned companies such as Apollo Hospitals, Syntel Inc, Cognizant and HCL Technologies in the past. His unique experience spans across business development to execution with a transformation agenda in place. What he brings to the table is the acumen to balance pragmatism and creativity. A Mechanical Engineer having 35 plus years of experience in Petroleum sector. Held senior management positions in various functions – Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Operations, Project Management, ERP Implementation, Retail Sales & Engineering, Training, Brand development etc., worked across Pan India and International in leading Oil Companies – Bharat Petroleum, Reliance Industries & Shell MRPL Aviation. Currently working as a professional consultant in Petroleum Sector. Also had a three years of Research activities in Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Department of Aerospace Engineering.
Ramprasad passed out of IIM Calcutta in 1984. He has attended the Senior Executive Program of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2001.
Currently, since 2016, he’s mentor to a Hero Cycles group family member and an advisor to the group. He had also assisted the group in 2014 with a proposed acquisition in Germany. He has helped “professionalising” a recently taken over business of high end bicycles, along with the Hero group family member. He’s also assisting the group in a start up of Last Mile connectivity solutions.
In a career spanning over 3 decades, Ramprasad has worked with various MNCs such as Unilever and Sara Lee, as also large Indian groups such as Godrej, Tata, Murugappa and Hero. His key capabilities have been in turning around or transforming consumer goods and services businesses.
Between 2011 and 2014, he had taken up an entrepreneurial venture in the area of decentralizedwaste water treatment. He’s very passionate about water conservation and management.
He has been with Tata Teleservices Ltd as CEO – Operations, heading the CDMA business in Tamilnadu. Tata Teleservices was market leader in the wireless internet access services business, under PHOTON brand.
Prior to this, he was with Zee Network as CEO – South, where he was responsible for the launch of Zee Tamil TV channel and consolidating the Zee Telugu and Zee Kannada channels.
As President of T I Cycles of the Murugappa Group, he was instrumental in effecting a turnaround of the business in T I Cycles after taking charge in Apr 2005. Further, the blueprint for the business to move into retailing and E bikes was also put together under his leadership.
Earlier in the Murugappa Group, as Executive Director of EID Parry India Ltd, and CEO of the Parryware business, Ramprasad oversaw the rapid growth of their bathroom products business to reach the No.1 position in the sanitaryware market. Various expansion plans of over Rs.1 billion, entry into Taps business and transformation of the brand into a contemporary ambience were
executed successfully. It culminated in the tie up with ROCA, world’s largest sanitaryware company.
Prior to the successful stint of nearly 9 years with the Murugappa Group, Ramprasad was with Hindustan Unilever Ltd in sales and operations functions. He has also been associated with Sara Lee in India.
Ramprasad was the President of INCOSAMA (Indian Council of Sanitaryware Manufacturers) in 2002- 03 – the industry body of the sanitaryware manufacturers. He was President of the AICMA (All India Cycle Manufacturers Association) in 2006-07, the industry body of the cycle industry of India.
Ramprasad has been a speaker at Brand Seminar 2005, B’lore and MMA Seminar in 2005. In 2008, he was a speaker at the Southern Regional Conference of ISTD on “What the CEO has to offer H R”. He has also been delivering guest lectures at IIM Kolkatta, IIT Madras – MBA program and IFMR, MBA program.
